Wow, what a terrific bunch of thunderstorms we have had the past few days! And we got 5 inches of rain Friday night, Saturday morning & more last night. I love rain, but this is ridiculous folks! I keep expecting to see Noah and his ark float by soon.

During a lot of that I have been finishing reading Lavender Lies by Susan Wittag Albert. This is one in the China Bayles mystery novels that Susan has written. It was a good one, but then all of them are good! Now I have to hunt down Mistletoe Man as that is the next in-line and I do not have it yet. For all you spinners and weavers, you should check out Indigo Dying that came out a couple of years ago. Lots of spinning and dyeing stuff. Susan actually is a spinner/dyer/herbalist. You can check out her blog at Lifescapes with links to her books and such. And yes, she is a Texan!

More spinning done on the Falkland Islands roving. I finished up the stuff I had blended with Angelina and am now plying two huge bobbins. I have just about an ounce of FI roving left and have not decided what to with that, but I am sure to come up with something! Now to decide what to make with the yarn........       (11:58am)

So did y'all get your taxes mailed yesterday? I usually do ours right after we get all the stuff together, but this year I waited until last week. You see, we only got back $48! I really miss the days of big tax refunds! But then I do not miss having all those kids to feed and clothe so I guess it is a trade-off.

Been working on the FI roving again. Have a full bobbin that I need to ply off. I like to ply from a center pull ball. It wastes no yarn!

Okay really have nothing to say tonight. Maybe I will have more later..       (11:39PM) BJ Heeke

I am hopelessly bad at putting up new posts! Took me quite awhile to get this all set up and put on my website. I think I know how to do the archives now, so I am gonna be better. Anyway, I have been sporadically spinning. Still working on the Falkland Islands roving I dyed in "Pluto Purple", carding it with some Angelina. Here is the first skein I did
I am in the process of carding & spinning more. Not sure what I will make with it. Does that happen to you? Sometimes it takes me years to figure out what my yarn wants to be.       ( 8:08PM ) BJ Heeke
