Well, the kiddies are back in school so I have put my name on the substitute teacher list for the high school my youngest daughter attends. I have been working on stuff for our local fair and will post a picture of the spindle spun quivut smoke ring I am knitting. I hope to beat out this one lady that enters all sorts of stuff in the Knitting Division with this! The only other thing I have to enter is a pair of socks in Opal.

My Scotch tension experiement has been a resounding success. I no longer scoff at it.

I do need to get busy and warp my loom so I can have the 'required' woven item. 'Required' means that I was told under no circumstances that I could NOT not enter a woven item by my friend Dawn. The Dragon has spoken! ;-)

I tried to weave a guitar strap for my 19YO DD Allison Christmas before last, but it never got finished. So I took it off the loom as I needed to use that rigid heddle loom for bookmarks our guild is making for the Contemporary Handweavers of Texas Conference. Just need to make a mere 50 or so! Ha! I can use the partially woven guitar strap as a fair entry. Heh heh. I think I will make it into a spindle bag or something!

Ta ta tha noo.       (12:40am)

Later,

That is my kitty Xander. Isn't he cute?
